With modern structured wiring systems, telephony traffic usually shares the same cabling system as data - most usually Category 5e (Cat5e) Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). This is sometimes referred to as "voice and data convergence". In the nowadays increasingly rare instances when this is not appropriate, we can of course install alternative cabling solutions.
In the telecoms cabinet, we are fully conversant with all forms of telephony cabling from incoming lines (trunks), through to the telephone system and to the telephone handsets on your office desks. We can supply and install line adaptors to enable you to plug telephone handsets into standard (RJ45) network outlets, and a range of patch panels and other hardware to ensure that your telephone system is as easy as possible to understand and modify should the occasion arise.
Inside the telecoms closet however, there is often a patch panel or distribution frame which requires connection to your telephone system or incoming telephone lines. We can supply and install any cables or hardware required to connect everything together.
If you are experiencing problems with your telephone system, again we can help by examining and fully documenting the existing installation - and of course fixing the problem at the same time!
